Tackle this issue from a different perspective. In fact, it wouldn't hurt to ask a kid what they think of the situation. While the answer may not have practical applications, it'll make you laugh -- and see the light.

I usually try asking my two-year-old for directions to the library. He just chatters off about ducks or something. Useless. Absolutely useless.
Kids almost always know the right answer because they're not putting it through a million filters like we do, the filters we've adopted from society over the years.
